Principals Message
Welcome to MacArthur Early Childhood Center and ECHO Joint Agreement #457
MacArthur Early Childhood Center serves the self-contained special educational needs of students in Pre School, ages 3-4 and 4-5 and kindergarten through second grade. Therapy services from nursing, speech language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and social work are integrated into our whole child approach, as well as behavioral supports as needed. As a learning community, we are committed to providing our students with a well-rounded educational program that focuses on functional life and academic skills. Our staff members work collaboratively on developing our curriculum, establishing our instructional goals, implementing lessons, meeting the individual academic and social/emotional needs of each child, and continuing to develop their professional skills. We are honored and privileged to serve the students, parents, and staff of MacArthur Early Childhood Center as the administrative team.
With the support of all stakeholders, our children receive a quality education in a learning environment that is both enriched and nurturing. We would like to thank our staff members: teachers, therapists, nurses, social worker, psychologist, paraprofessionals, non-instructional attendants, and secretaries, as well as the Board of Education, Superintendent Dr. Thomas and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Arresola for their continued support of our curricular & social initiatives. Thank you to Enchanted Backpack for choosing to support the needs of our students. In addition, we have been very excited to have a number of projects funded by Donor’s Choose over the past years. Thank you to all of our anonymous donors who have supported our various efforts to obtain quality materials to utilize with our students!
