Welcome to MacArthur Early Childhood Center and ECHO Joint Agreement #457

Greetings! My name is Gretchen Bailey, and I am delighted to be a part of the MacArthur Early Childhood Center family and serve as your new Principal.

Our school community has dedicated, talented members committed to doing what is in the best interest of our students. We will continue to put students first at MacArthur and work diligently to ensure the success of each child.

My professional background is rooted in education, leadership, and school administration. For the past twenty years, I have worked in public education as a leader, teacher, and school administrator. I’ve just completed my fifth year in South Holland.

With 20 years of experience as an Early Childhood educator in an urban and suburban settings, it has helped me see the social, academic and behavioral transitions of children from Birth to Kindergarten. I have spent the last 3 years in the South Suburban area of South Holland as the Principal of the ECHO Birth to 3-year-old, Parent as Teachers program through the ECHO cooperative.

I look forward to using my collective experiences as your new Principal. In addition to my professional achievements, my greatest accomplishment is the countless families and communities that I’ve been able to reach within the Chicagoland area.

As an educator, I want what is best for our children and their families, and I am willing to work tirelessly to obtain just that.

I plan to work closely with the personnel to ensure a smooth transition. It is my plan to vigorously learn more about our school, community, and the unique needs of our students and staff. I am committed to embracing the positive traditions and practices that are already in place at MacArthur while working diligently to ensure success for the future of us all.

My motto is, "Students’ First, yields exceptional results." and I believe each child is a unique individual and their uniqueness should be respected. All students will receive an exemplary education in an environment that is nurturing and safe, conducive for learning.

On behalf of the MacArthur TEAM, I believe we can help our children excel and provide them with an education that is second to none. I am honored and humbled to serve as the new Principal for MacArthur Early Childhood Center and I look forward to meeting our children, parents, and community members.

My door is always open to you, and I sincerely welcome your input and support. I am looking forward to celebrating our collective successes this academic school year.

Yours in Education,
Principal Gretchen Bailey [email protected]
